Rental flooring - sunken living room

So, in prepping a rental property, it needs new flooring through downstairs. Initially, looked at laminate, but decided against it as there is a pool and so high probability of getting wet. Then decided on Allure vinyl planks, BUT there are 2 steps down from kitchen/dining area to living room and powder room. These steps basically dissect the downstairs, so are 15 feet long have a 120 degree angle at the mid point! HD have said they can't install the Allure on the stairs. I'd like to keep the flooring uniform if possible as its only a small area, just under 500sqft. How have other people dealt with issues like this? Should I go for a commercial option? All thoughts would be gratefully accepted!
