Tenant wants to add wife on lease until the end of the year

I have a tenant who now claims he is married but the wife doesn't live with him, wants to add her to the lease now so they could get a document. My lease does state if someone is staying past 14 days and over 18 will be added to lease. But this isn't the case. What shall I do?.

@Tyhe Barfield I'd vet her the same way you vet new tenants (background check, credit score, etc). If everything checks out and you're happy with your current tenant then I'd add her to the lease. What's your concern with adding her to the lease?
