Rental Application: Income Proof from Business Owner

Hello,

I received a rental application from a Business Owner a saloon owner with a pet under 10lbs. I normally have a no pet policy but this applicant mentioned his pet will be in the Salon with him most of the time so I am thinking to consider this applicant but I am a little unsure what to ask for as income proof. For fulltime employees their w-2s and paystubs will serve as income proof? For Business Owner what can I request as income proof. I will appreciate your inputs.
