Advice needed on Eviction and Landlord Rights Colorado

Sara Tierney
Posted

Hi Everyone. I am renting out a room in my house. The tenants lease end July 31. Tenant seems to think she has a lease that I have signed extending her lease - I have signed nothing. I have asked her to leave. I gave her notice mid month once I figured out she hadn't planned on leaving when her actual lease was up. She is using a bed and dresser we have provided and own. We have a new tenant/friend moving in on Aug 1st. I want to know if I can remove the bed and dresser that is ours, and if we legally can turn off her internet? Lastly looking for recommendations for a good lawyer in Colorado to start the eviction process and for any rent that is lost. Thanks in advance.
