East Bay area Re-carpet

Hi all,

Does anyone in the East Bay area have any recommendations for a carpet installer? Thanks! First time landlord here and I just got quote of $4455.80 for 800sq of carpet installed. Also, do you recommend getting the water proof pad underneath? From my research average should be around $1500.00 for this amount of work and material. Just basic beige carpet.

Not what you asked so feel free to ignore but I would suggest anything but carpet.  I get that it is cheaper initially but it will cost you more in the long run VS ceramic or LVT/LVP.
