Enforement of NO PARKING
Purchased a property the first of the year that has a parking area in the back. Previous owner did not allow parking and neither am I due to the use of the three car garage and needed parking for my utility vehicles. So... previous owner had NO PARKING WILL BE TOWED signs posted which are still there. Every tenant except 1 abides by the rule. One tenant and his kid and her friends do not. My leases read NO PARKING on the premises and a fine of $50 per day is stated in the lease. Today she parked back there again and I blocked the driveway out. She called the police and the police man said I couldn't enforce the signs but had to go to the magistrate and file grievance against the tenant. Policeman had no other details to share. I am looking for the answer to what I must do to make those signs enforceable as well as the fines without court order. There has to be a way. Experts? Also experience and advice on booting as well. Thanks
