Standard state-mandated residential tenancy agreements in the US?
Hi everyone,
I'm from Canada, where each province has its own lease agreement template which must be used in order for a lease to be considered valid.
I was wondering if there are states that have the same law? From what I can tell, Illinois and Massachusetts have agreement templates that are typically used but are not absolutely required (the landlord can then create their own version). Can anyone help me figure out which states do not?
Any input would be appreciated!
