Took over a Month2Month tenant w/ verbal contract who hasn’t paid
Good morning!
We are new landlords in Illinois ( Dupage county) and took over a building with existing varying contracts.
One of our existing tenants is a month to month renter with a verbal contract who hasn’t paid for the month of July. Earlier this month we served the tenant with a notice to terminate tenancy on the 31st, because we are going to renovate and owner occupy the unit.
Any advice on how to proceed respectfully?
