Lease: Simple vs Complex
I am trying to draw up my first lease and I am at a crossroads. I am leaning towards a simple lease that notes the length, fees that will be assessed (late, returned checks, etc) and a few general rules (legal jargon). With the lease I would include accompanying documents such as ground rules for my properties and necessary pamphlets. On the lease there is a section to document these items being received. Or should I try to consolidate everything in a larger lease that would have a more "legal" feel. I don't particularly want to go this route because I feel the language will start to become complicated. Thanks in advance.
