Landlord using our water and electricity to build apartment
Hello! I am located in California and I just wanted to know if it’s legal with what our landlord is doing! She gave us 90 day notice to move because she building in the backyard and we must leave for safely reasons yet she already started construction soon after giving us the notice. The construction workers are using our water ( that we pay for) and also electricity ( we pay for that too) they also fill up our garbage cans when the landlord pays for only one green bin when we pay for the other 3! Yet they’re using are green bin also!
They’re parking in our driveway when they’re only entitled to the side entrance.
Mind you we’ve been here for over two years and our landlord came over almost everyday with a notice to enter the backyard and the shed yet we was never allowed to use the backyard even tho in the lease it started we could until construction started. Now that construction I wanted to know does our landlord have the right to use your utilities without even asking? Does she have to compensation for inconvenience? I was reading around and some state she has to pay for our moving fees or pay for the inconvenience?
