What's the best way to accept rent payments?

Hi all! I'm doing some research about the best way to take payments, focused on Cash/Check/Online and the benefits/drawbacks of each in the eyes of landlords.

How do you prefer to take payments and why?

-Cash seems to be tough to keep track of and difficult to coordinate each month, but has the obvious benefit of being cash.

-Checks are good because they don't carry fees and can be mailed/deposited automatically, although they take a while to clear and can get lost/bounce and can't be automatic.

-Online is quick and easy but usually has fees for the tenant or landlord and cant be a pain to monitor payments.

I'd love to hear what you think!
