What to consider in a 6 month lease?

We are renewing an annual lease with our tenant. They requested a 6 month lease as they want to purchase a home in that period of time. Do you recommend increasing the rent for a 6 month lease to partly cover the costs of doing a tenant search/background check earlier than usual? Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts.
