Very new to Biggerpockets forums!

As the title suggests, i currently live in NY and am looking to purchase a rental property in Maryland. I intend to form an LLC for asset protection. Any other recommedations for further asset protection? (insurance, multiple LLCs for multiple properties etc) My questions are...

Which state should i form it in?

Should i use LegalZoom to simply form it? I still intend to find a real estate friendly attorney but dont want to pay the initial cost just for the formation.

Any recommendations for attorneys in NY or Maryland?
