For those of you that do your own property managing is there an account you use for call forwarding to protect your phone number or do you just use your actual personal phone number? Is it necessary to get another phone for the business? I would like to make it as simple as possible.

thank you!

When I started out I did use my personal number and that was fine until it wasn't.  I switched over to MajicJack as that was the rage that long ago and then google voice came out and was free and was incredible at the time.  Even today, if all you need is a 2nd phone line to take messages, send / receive texts and mms through, GV is a great free option.  Tenants will call that number and google voice will ring your cell/landlines etc....you can even make calls from both your cell and landlines and have it appear as if it is coming from google voice.

We eventually outgrew that and now use RingCentral and we have a love/hate relationship with that.
