Strange Encroachment Issue

Alicia Dodson
Posted

Hi Everyone,

My tenant received a note that my shed is encroaching on the neighboring property. The house backs up to a former golf course in Myrtle Beach, SC, which is being converted into a new housing community. The note threatens that the shed will be removed and I will be invoiced for the removal costs if the shed is not moved by Friday. I have received no legal correspondence from the developer. I live out of state, so I am not sure what the best course of action is here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Alicia

@Alicia - Sounds like you have your answer. Three days does not sound fair at all. You can always use a page from Chris Voss and use ask them "I need to get....XYZ to move this....How do you expect me to do this in 3 days? I am guessing they'll give you more time.
