Best place to buy furniture for furnished COLLEGE apts

Furnished apts go for $600 more per month where I am buying, so this is a no-brainer.  Where is the best place to get furniture that will last a good few years?  Especially looking for sofa and upholstered chair suggestions.

My own kid is going to be in the condo for a while, so there won't be monkeys hanging from the ceiling or anything (he is very responsible and has been working fulltime for a couple of years and has his own car, etc), but he won't be there forever!
