Need help with rental process for multiple tenants

Hi guys,

How do you go about screening financials for multiple tenants trying to rent (share) one house?

- Does every person need to meet the required rent to income ratio, or can one tenant cover for another given that they have sufficient income to do so?

- Can one guarantor cover for multiple tenants given that they have sufficient income to do so?

- What/how big of a role does credit score play in a multiple tenant situation? What if half the people have good credit and the other half have bad credit?

Thanks for the help
