corner shower in a rental apartment

Hi all,

We are planning a remodel for a small bathroom which badly needs it. Ideally corner/triangle shower would allow maximum space in an already small bathroom. Do people have an opinion on the curved corner or neo-angle shower units? I was thinking to go with the shower pan, one of glass enclosures and tile the walls.

However, my partner is worried about water leakage issues and whether such units could handle tenant abuse. Anyone have some experiences in using them for a rental?

The Neo-Angle has an advantage because the door can swing from the wall to the center (blocking the toilet) while still retaining the towel bar at easy access as well as the built-in shelves - without blocking the exit from the shower. And they come pretty cheap. $1000 or less for full enclosure kits.
