Priced Out of House Hacking?

Hello everyone,

I moved to Essex County, NJ from NYC hoping to buy a house at the end of 2021, however prices have skyrocketed more than ever before and people are paying for more than the home is actually worth.

How has this sudden increase in home prices changed your home buying plans, especially when you need to stay in a certain area due to children, family, work, etc?

Will you have to wait and buy until 2022, are you willing to pay 20-30K extra for the home?

I don't want to feel discouraged, but I will try NACA, FHA what ever I can to get a home! I would love to hear how others navigated around this issue.
