HGTV's Reneovate to Rent show
Has anyone seen this show? Everything is the highest of high quality. It's really good but some things make no sense:
1. They stage the properties for rent. I've never heard a landlord doing this. Has anyone ever done this? It's flip quality staging too. I think they mentioned they spent $1k on staging on one of their properties.
2. Their rents are astronomical - $2k-$3k...and they're duplexes/triplexes in Minneapolis. I would think they would have vacancy issues as the tenant pool would shrink the higher the rents?
3. They put in the highest of high updates. Again, flip quality. They really overdo it IMO.
4. Of course, they consider rent - PITA their net profit (they may even be paying all cash so their profit could be larger)...no consideration for repairs, maintenance, vacancy, etc.
