Lease termination letter delivery
Hello,
I just closed on my first house hack (duplex in Columbus, OH) with inherited tenants. I need terminate the one unit's month-to-month lease. Is there a best way to do this? I currently live out of state so I was thinking certified mail would be best. The tenant already knows I will be formally terminating the lease but I wasn't sure what the best way to delivery it was. Thanks in advance!

I don't know about the notice requirement, but what I did was sent notices via USPS with delivery confirmation. The postman just scans it when he puts it in their box, so they can't say they didn't get it. You could also send it certified with signature required, but sometimes it's tough to get the signatures.
