Have you ever rented a pet?

Have you ever rented a property that included a pets? This is a first for me.

Landlord asked me to manage a house on a 20-acre ranch while they spend three years touring the world. They have a beautiful dog, Boscoe, that is like a big bear and one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. While the applicants toured the property, Boscoe followed them around and their daughter fell in love with him. They were sad because their current dog was going to stay with family in another state. Long story short, the Landlords are unable to take Boscoe with them and asked if the renters would be interested in keeping him.

It's not something I would recommend, but in this case both parties are ideal and I thought it was an excellent idea. Both parties are over-the-moon happy with the arrangement. Boscoe gets to stay on the property, Tenants get to have a pet, and Landlords get to visit Boscoe whenever they pass through.
