Prorating but Renting a Full Month
Hey there!
Any agents or homeowners willing to answer a newbie question?
I am looking to rent a unit in a duplex and move in would be April 15. Owner wants a month security deposit up front as well as a full months rent, and then prorate the month of May. I find this odd.
Does that sound suspicious? The listing agent is saying its standard to require a full month's rent upon move in (not counting the deposit).
