Tenant wants to put in a pool

Timothy Sammon
Posted

I have a great tenant that wants to install an above ground pool at the house he rents from me, located in NY. Says he will pay for all the expenses, etc. Just wondering what my liability would be, god forbid something were to happen, and if anyone thinks it’s a good idea or not. Thanks.

He’s a bad guy because he wants a pool? You guys are a tough crowd. If I was self managing this like it sounds like you are. Get a quote from your insurance and if it’s more he pays the difference. Or even better maybe he can get his own policy relating to the pool? If he’s a long term tenant he might stay there another 10 hassle free years.
