Short term rental strategy - traveling nurses

I'm in the middle of my first house-hack and we're looking to move onto our next one here in a few months. I discovered furnishedfinders.com which markets furnished short term rentals to traveling nurses. By the looks of it, I could charge 40-50% more per month to leave all my furniture in my house! Has anyone on BP had any experience in this realm?

Hello Corey, I have not identified any concerns with investing in short term rentals for traveling nurses. The most popular rentals are one bedroom, followed by two bedrooms and studios. A nicely furnished unit in most areas will bring in about $1250 per month. Nurses are on 13 week contracts, are generally clean and quiet and sleeping when not at work. They are paid very well and travel light. Many travel with pets so pet friendly is a huge plus. Let me know if you have other questions and I'm happy to help. I'm not selling anything - just paying it forward for all the free education I receive on BP.
