1099 question for new property manager

Joseph Aceves
Posted

I've been managing a 22 unit complex for a year. My parents are the owners. Every month I've been logging in invoices, keeping receipts, and tracking all the expenses and profits you would normally log in. Every month I give the reports to my parents/owners.

But I have never been given a 1099 by them. Do I print out a generic 1099 and fill in one form for the entire year? Or how would you suggest I go about this? Especially with taxes being due soon. I'd like to get this sorted as soon as possible.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

All the best, Joe
