Requiring Applications prior to viewing property
I'm posting my feed back regarding this subject. It is very unreasonable and actually ridiculous for Landlords/Property management to require application before viewing. I've read some of the responses to this subject and some of you are just ridiculous with this mentality.
1) You shouldn't post your property available for rental IF you still have current tenants occupying the property, for this reason alone, it's on you the landlord to ensure the property is available for showing and why would you expect candidates of future renters will have to endure the inconvenience of you as the landlord not prepared fully to show the property?
2) Why would you the landlord, ever expect future tenants to apply for a property that they has not seen? There are other ways to screen valuable / quality tenants. You got into this business, do your part as the landlord to be more professional and not come off as one that is scamming for additional fees. Placing an application means running hard credit. That is costly to tenants. You must always think, what if you're the tenant searching for new resident...would you want to be treated this way??? I doubt that you do, so you need to re-evaluate how do business.
To the landlords and all real estate agents, STOP making tenants pay for what is not necessary just because you people lack to think outside the box or want to extend your consideration and only think of ways to cheat people out of their hard earning income. Always remember to think if the situation was you? How would you like for business owners to treat you, to show some consideraton, etc....

I expect my applicants to come with a filled out application, paystubs and ID.
