Property Management Company
I am currently the executive assistant to the owner of a mortgage company in California. I self manage about 30 SFR that the broker owns. We are exploring the idea of open a property management company in California. The owner of the mortgage company is also a broker. Are we able to open a property management company under his broker license, while he also has the mortgage company? Can he use his broker license to open more companies or would we have to start a DBA under the current mortgage companies name?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
