What kind of rental property should a beginner invest in ?

I just started looking into investing in real estate and I’m not exactly sure what kind of property I want to invest in. Should I start of with a duplex, maybe something with 5 units, or a condo ? I’m not really sure to start and I wanna start off with something small and not to crazy. What do you guys suggest ?
