New Rhode Island Eviction Changes

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Has anyone been following the proposed changes to the eviction process in RI? I'm still a new landlord/property owner and I don't have any immediate eviction needs but I'm trying to learn about the overall process and what I could be expecting with something like this.

Appreciate any help in advance!

@Andrew Casal what part  would you be fine with? I am not sure what you mean by you would support it if it wasn't all the time.

They are both entitled eviction moratorium during a state of emergency. So basically it would be written into the law that an automatic moratorium would take place and these processes would commence with any state of emergency.  Seems  like they are planning for covid 2, 3, 4... instead of a more common state of emergencies that last for only days/weeks and has a more local impact. In addition there doesn't seem to be any consideration of the state of emergency impacting the tenant.
