Apartment or SFH House-hack during COVID

Hey BP Family,

I was curious to see if anyone "started" a live-in apartment house-hack (or SFH) in the midst of COVID...I'd love to hear how you searched for the roommate/renter. Maybe what are some of the questions you asked or put in the listing?

I'm 50/50 on the decision. My major concern is just having someone move in who isn't all that concerned and maybe not practicing social distancing, etc. In my listing, I have "no guests due to covid pandemic." I'm thinking of adding in other things as well....only to be upfront with my concerns since the kitchen and living rooms will be a shared space. They would, however, have their own bath.

Thank you for reading. Welcoming all thoughts and advice. Stay safe

Nate

@Taylor L. I agree, get a place that you wouldn’t have to share a space with the other tenant(s). Townhome with a walkout basement that you could rent out is another option depending on your area

@Nate R. do you already have a place you’re wanting to rent out? Or what style home are you looking/renting?
