New Jacuzzi came with my new rental purchase, Keep it or sell it?
Hi BP folks! Newb here, first post! Found my way to BP after reading the rental book.
Recently bought a house to BRRRR. The house's interior is already pretty well done so I'm going to focus on getting the back yard in decent shape. The previous owner was a farming enthusiast and had rows of trees and veggies planted all over the yard. I plan on pulling that vegetation out and putting a new Ipe deck in, should look nice! One thing is that she left me a pretty new (less than 1.5 yr old) 3 person hot tub in the house. I think the market rate to resell that floats around 5k in my area.
Should I keep it for my rental or sell it? The interior is well done and would already put me in the 75% percentile for quality in the area. Is this thing too much of a liability? Has anyone had success getting more rent for having it?
