Needy tenant and his mom
We have our first needy tenant. No one has lived in the house for 3 years on a property that we bought, gutted and completely renovated. There were some minor issues that needed to be worked out, again no one lived there so we didn't know the issues existed. We've been very timely in our response and repairs. Over the course of the one month the tenant has been living there his mom has become more involved. Not only is the tenant communicating with us but now his mom is also texting and emailing us as well. She actually refused to let one of our contractors start doing work/repairs that needed to be done due to a water leak. Tenant told us today that he wants us to update his email address to hers. How do we handle this situation? His name is on the lease, not hers, do we need to communicate with her? Can we tell him no, we're not going to email your mom?
