Connecting Laundry on Spetic Tank

I was curious about the pros and cons of connecting a washer, on a 3 - 4 unit with a septic tank that has several leaches in place.

I have heard controversial feedback, but the two that are most concerning are the following:

1. The detergent and bleach will damage the septic system.
2. Even with several leaches in place one will most likely have to empty the tank more frequently.

So, I was wondering if anybody here has had any personal experience with a washer that was connected to a septic system on a multi unit.

Look forward to any and all responses.
