North Carolina Eviction laws from the sale of a property.

Im buying a property from a landlord. My contract obligation was that the tenant be vacated, before i close on the property. The closing date is fast approaching.

The tenant is month to month, and i don't believe they would be safe under the eviction moratorium since this is the sale of a property and they are not getting a lease broken.

The property is managed, and the owner doesn't trust the PM to serve the papers to officially evict (i guess because of their slumlord reputation).

How would you proceed.
