Somerset/union county NJ multi family homes

Hello BP community,

I am looking to invest in a multi family home and would like to spend 250k-325k in somerset or union county. I would like to know if anyone has feedback on these areas?  Additionally, what is the best way to check rental rates and vacancy rates in specific areas? Would it be a matter of reaching out to property management companies and looking at Zillow/trulia sites for this information?
