@Veni Edunuru The vast majority of home builders in Austin currently are not accepting investors. The buyer demand is simply way too high and they can't build homes fast enough. They prioritize primary home buyers for many reasons. Primary buyers tend to spend more on finishes, are more likely to use the builders preferred lender, and it ensures their new neighborhood gets off to a good start with homeowners versus renters. I have seen a few limited new construction options for investors in master-planned communities, but they go extremely fast.

If you have a purchase price point of at least $450,000-$500,000 and higher, you could target some of the infill new construction in the Austin city limits. This is where builders have torn down an older home and built 2 homes on the same lot. The smaller homes (approx 1,000-1,200 square feet) with 2 bedrooms and 1-2 baths can sell in this range.
