Cost-Benefit Analysis - Rental Units

Hi all,

I’m currently the live-in Landlord at my first investment property. It’s a 2/2, has a nice front sitting room and rear living room, as well as an additional room behind the guest bedroom.

A person recently contacted me hoping to rent with me for 3 days per week, but I already have a roommate in BR2 and a ‘couch-mate’ in the rear living room.

What do you see as potential pros and cons for this, and as he is only looking for a place for 3 nights (M, T, W), do you have any advice? Would you as a LL run the idea by your current housemates?

I would absolutely run it by the roommates as a landlord.  They are paying for the space and if you are going to change the terms the have a right to input.  I would probably be willing to offer them slightly lower rent for the inconvenience.
