Bigger Pockets Lease Agreement Packages - FL Investors

Nati Hanuka
Posted

Hello FL Investors,

I am wondering if any of you are or have been using the lease agreement from BP site for your rentals? I downloaded the package and went over it and my non-attorney opinion is that they are pretty solid and protects the landlord pretty well. Of course I am going to let my attorney review it but wanted to hear if anyone else have been using them?

Thanks in advance!

Even with attorneys they review things differently.  One attorney will have certain changes while another will address different issues.  Just ask an attorney about the no eviction order either through the CDC or your State Governor.  One will say go ahead and deliver the 3, 5 or 10 notice (depends on your state) to your tenant while another will say don’t do anything.  We are always adjusting our leases to address things that it did not cover.  My lease including addendums is 20 plus pages long. It’s never done.  My daughter got an apartment her lease was 42 pages.  Have an attorney review it, but remember your never done.
