How to evict a tenant after purchasing a house

Posted

I'm in Pennsylvania and I recently bought a house with a detached garage and 2 story building. The building and garage were rented with a signed lease stating the tenant pays $10 a year to store her things there. It is supposed to be a lifetime lease done with the previous owners. At first I was in agreement with the lease but the tenant was supposed to pay $10 a month. The bank I have the mortgage with didn't agree with the lease so the previous owners signed an agreement to make the lease null and void. The tenant now doesn't want to remove her things and states she has the right to leave her things there for life. Can I take her to court and evict her or is there nothing I can do about this? I would like to fix up the building and make it into 2 apartments.
