Travel Expenses - First Time Investor

Hello,

This is my first post and I am new to real estate investing. I am looking to purchase my first investment SFR, Duplex or Triplex (or multiple) and will be traveling out of state to look at properties. This entire trip is dedicated to the business of searching for and potentially buying a property(s). Because I do not have any real estate in my portfolio, am I able to write off the entire trip?
