Why are rent moratoriums inundated in news, but non-existent here

I keep seeing in my financial news feeds, the media constantly talking about these eviction moratoriums hurting landlords. Albeit, its seems like hardly anyone on here has mentioned being hit by this. Anytime someone on the podcast talks about owning 100+ properties, they claim this has not effected them. Is this just another case of a media hyperpole?
