FINDING GOOD SCHOOL DISTRICTS

Hello BP community,

I am currently assessing the markets I want to really focus on.  I know in The Book on Rental Property Investing, Brandon discusses using Greatschools.org.  I have used it and do like it, but I wanted to know what other methods other investors use to determine the quality of school districts. Being that school districts are extremely important, I wanted to make sure I have a few sources to check before making a final decision on a market.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Jake Drappi

Hey @Jake Drappi, while all the above sources are good and valid I'll pry on this:  Is there a fundamental hole in greatschools that you are trying to avoid?

I find that many of these "meta score" tools internally factor in things like benchmark exams, so you may accidentally complicate the process for yourself for little gain.

Listen to Occam, he's pretty sharp.
