Tenant Abandonment, How do I remove his stuff??

So I had a tenant that was inherited when we bought the property about a year ago. He was from the DR nice guy until his girlfriend moved out. Started partying the other tenants called the police twice on him. Then the virus hit and as a barber he could not pay. Sometime in June he was arrested for discharging a firearm. I guess he made bail i had no contact with him for a week or two then he paid $400 of the $3800 he owes in back rent. Then nothing for a while. End of August rolls around and he texts me from the 4th different number in a many months and he is back in the DR to handle some family stuff but will be back in a week or 2 his new girlfriend will meet me at the apartment on the 15th of Sept. Well no one was there. I have tried to reach out twice a week since sept 12th with no response. I posted on the door that i am not renewing the lease. Sent a first class letter. I think I am in the clear legally. I am assuming that his apartment is full of his stuff. What do I do with all that??

Check your local landlord-tenant laws. You may be required to hold the items for a certain amount of time before disposing of them.
