Carpet Cleaning by Landlord

Debraj Ghosh
Posted

I was a renter in Virginia. I stayed in an apartment for 2yrs and before I left the apartment, I employed cleaning experts to clean the whole apartment. Still I found, the apartment management charged me for cleaning the whole apartment and carpet. Should I dispute the charge.

Also, one strip of a blinder was broken. Should it be considered as just wear and tear or big damage.
The last issue. I did not extended my contract. So I gave prior notice and mentioned to the apartment management that I will vacate the home on 15th of the following month. However, I could manage to vacate 1 week prior and dropped the key on 8th of the month. Still I found that they charged me until 15th. Should I raise the dispute

Thanks

Deb
