Actual Property caretaking Guide?

Hi All, Looking for a book or other resource suggestion on how to care for a property. Found lots of book about the administration side of caring for a property. I just read J. Scott's book on flipping (great book) but was looking for a different type of resource. Example: Proper care of a home requires checking/cleaning vents "x" amounts of time per year. I bring this up because I've lived in apartments my whole life and never really thought about what it takes to care for a home. I purchased a rental which is great but I don't want to turn into some type of slum landlord because I was too ignorant to know you are to suppose to check "x" every now and again.
