Faucet leak causing water damage

Hi

    I have a rental property. The tenant was not home one day. That day the faucet leaked slightly but overnight the amount of water leaked through that slight leak reached basement ceiling and wet a large portion of ceiling. The tenant says they did not notice the leak. This faucet was fixed 4 months ago. We had an issue last year with a flush valve that popped off causing water damage to all three levels of the house by the same tenant.  I did not charge anything with the tenant last time. Can the tenant be held responsible this time?  I see the leak at the faucet now but it is very tiny and almost unimaginable that it might have caused this issue. Any suggestions?
