Landlord not listed on bankruptcy petition
I took my tenant to eviction court for non-payment of rent. While in court I was informed she filed bankruptcy Chapter 13 1 month into her lease. I was not listed on the petition and she is not paying rent. Am I still required to allow her to stay, when I was not informed prior to filing the eviction or what options do I have to take possession of my property? Am I exempt from the rules of no contact under these circumstances?
Seems a bit unjust to pay a mortgage for a property that I cannot access to. I need to perform routine maintenance and not sure if I can legally enter the property.
