Coin/Card Laundry Unit vs Regular for 4 Unit Multi in Chicago

Hey Bigger Pockets Family,

Question on would it be better to get a coin operated washer and dryers for 4 unit building or just regular washer and dryer.

I pay the water in the building. Wondering would it makes sense to get coin operated machines (I see they go for around 2k+) and charge the tenants to wash and dry.

Or better to just get a common energy efficient washer and dryer for half or less the price and charge more on the rents about $50 per unit.

Every unit has a nice size family of 4 or more people including kids also to add in.

(Also see about the card reader part but I see that’s usually an addition cost.)

Just wondered everyone take on it and opinion
