Can I deduct my rentals losses from my W2 income.
Hello Folks,
I have an SFRs, not thru LLC. I did Airbnb and I got $8000 negative, This was managed by me actively. My tax guys sayst that it cannot be treated as active. so cannot be deducted from my w2 income. Any idea, can I deduct these losses from my regular w2 income? or it can be only carried over to next year? if not, can I start an LLC to do this as LLC losses are deducted from W2 income? Please advise.
